Kadazan-Dusun:

This is the largest native race of Sabah. The Kadazan race is one of the aborigines of Sabah who rich in culture. The words of "Kadazan-Dusun" appear cause this ethnic have similarities in culture and language & also because of other political initiatives.

 Festival  :

Harvest Festival is the most significant celebration by the Kadazan people. This celebration heavily influenced by the farming of rice. This special festival always celebrated with drinking of "Tapai

" or rice wine. The rice wine actually is a alcoholic drinks which prepared through differing home brewed fermentation process.

Traditional Dance

During festival or ceremony time, the most famous performance of their  traditional dance called "Sumazau" will be performed. It is the main attraction for most tourist travel to Sabah.

Kadazan Traditional Custume 

Generally, the trimmings and embroidery on the Kadazan costume are simple and dignified in comparison with other ethnic groups. The men’s jacket and trousers bear some Chinese influence. There are three different styles of blouses for the women. One is a blouse with short sleeves worn by young ladies. Another is a blouse with sleeves worn by middle-aged ladies for daily or casual use. The third one is worn by elderly women and female ritual specialists/priestesses during ceremonies.

             The gold-plated silver button were status symbol for the kadazan Penampang

             Set of thirty buttons (sonsolobuan) considered as a wealthy person.
